Our Breakfast Menu caters for every guest, offering a choice of Continental, Full English or Lighter Alternatives

Late Arrivals
For any late arrivals we offer a choice of sandwiches on request
Bar
Monday-Thursday : 11am-11pm
Friday & Saturday : 11am-12am
Sunday : 12-11pm
(The bar closing time for residents is at the discretion of the Manager)
Buses
There is a good local bus service, which serves the area and surrounding villages. There is also a bus service that runs at regular hourly intervals to Stansted airport. Further information and bus timetables are available from reception.
Church Services
There are four churches in Thaxted that all host various services throughout the week. One example is The Church of St.John the Baptist, Our Lady & St.Laurence, which is situated opposite to the Hotel. The Mass is held Monday 9.30am, Tuesday 7am, Wednesday 10am, Thursday/Friday 9.30am, Saturday 12pm and Sunday 8am & 10am. For any further information, then please see the Reception desk

Late Arrivals
For any guests who will be arriving after our kitchen has closed can be provided with a choice of sandwiches on request.
Newspapers
If you would like to purchase a daily newspaper, please let Reception know on arrival or before 7.00am. A list of available newspapers and prices can be obtained from the Reception desk on request.
Taxis
If you require a taxi, please see the reception desk where they can either book one for you, or supply a list of telephone numbers of local taxis in the area.
Trains
The nearest train station is 8 miles away situated in the village of Newport. There is also a train station at Bishops Stortford and Stansted Airport, which are only 15
minutes away from the hotel. All of these stations have trains running regularly into London Liverpool Street.
Wake-Up Calls
If you require a wake-up call for the morning, please let reception know on arrival or before 11pm.
